Interclub Figure Skating Competition

General regulations:

Juna Skate Open 5 th will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations for Figure Skating as well as all pertinent ISU Communications for Figure Skating and the classification of the Estonian Skating Union for 
season 2021/2022.

NB!
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel “JUNA SKATE OPEN 4 th” if due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) the decision or recommendation of the national/local Government will not agree to conduct such an event or if the travel restrictions into and out of Estonia will block the Teams for an unexpected period of time. Skaters are advised to seek advice from their relevant government agencies, travel and medical providers regarding travel to any destination country and any restrictions in place. These can change at short notice. The JUNA SKATE OPEN 5 th  competition will be held for young and beginner skaters. Competition will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2021, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating and Ice Dance 2021 and all respective ISU Communications for figure skating and the technical requirements of the Estonian Skating Union for the season 2021/2022.

The JUNA SKATE OPEN 5 th competition will be held for young and beginner skaters and for Adlut Skaters in following categories:

Juna Skate Open will include the following disciplines for young skaters:
The competition will be held in the following categories and classes:
Beginners A and B (Elements):
2017 and younger; 2015/2016; 2013/2014; 2011/2012; 2009/2010; 2006/2007/2008
Amateur Skating:
Chicks C; Pre-Young 2011 and younger; Pre-Young 2009/2010; Young 2007/2008; Young 2002-2006

Single Skating B class:
Pre-Chicks 2015 and younger; Chicks 2014/2013; Cubs 2011/2012; Springs, Novice B, Junior B;

Single Skating A class:
Pre-Chicks 2015 and younger; Chicks 2014/2013; Cubs 2011/2012; Basic Novice (ISU Communication 2396); Intermediate Novice (ISU Communication 2396); Advanced Novice (ISU Communication 2396); Junior (Rule 611, 612, ISU Communication 2382)

The Organizers have the right to split and combine categories if the number of participants requires that.

ADULT SKATING CATEGORIES

  • Single Ladies and Men
    - Free Skating (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters, Masters Elite)
    - Artistic Free Skating (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters, Masters Elite)
  • Pairs Skating
    - Free Skating (Adult, Intermediate, Masters)
    - Artistic Free Skating (Adult, Intermediate, Masters)

Age categories for ladies and men free skating events: 
Pre-Young adults skaters born between July 1st 2003 and June 30th 2008 Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters. Skaters who didn't compete at the national or/and international competitions and does not have any records to compete at any national or/and international competitions
Young adults skaters born between July 1st, 1993 and June 30th, 2003, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters

Age categories for Ladies and Men Free Skating events:
Class I              skaters born between               1st July 1983 and 30th June 1993
Class II             skaters born between               1st July 1973 and 30th June 1983
Class III            skaters born between               1st July 1963 and 30th June 1973
Class IV           skaters born between               1st July 1953 and 30th June 1963
Class V            skaters born on or before         30th June 1953
Single Artistic category devided by level: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters, Masters Elite.
For Pairs Free Skating and Ice Dancing events both partners must have reached the age of 18 by July 1st, precending the event and must not have reached the age of 71 by July 1st, precending the event.

The Organizers have the right to combine categories if the number of participants requires. The judging will be done in new system (according to ISU regulations). Technical rules for adult figure skating competitions will be used. 
Participants:

All ISU members and clubs, members of National Figure Skating Federations associated to ISU, are invited to take part in the competition. The organizer reserves the right to limit the number of participants in case the number of competitors is too high. The Organizing club reserves the right to enter more competitors. The clubs are asked to list the skaters in the order in which they wish to be accepted to the competition.

Single skaters with one program —75€ per person
Single skaters with two programs — 95€ per person
Pair skating with one program —100€ per pair
Pair skating with two programs — 150€ per pair
Elements - 50€ per person
There will be no late entry for this competition.

Practice fee is 15 EUR (25 min)

Payment can be made 50% to a bank account + 50% in cash on accreditation or 100% in cash on accreditation (NB! in this case club has to pay for all competitors who is in the starting order list after the draw).

Planned Program Content sheet:
Planned Program Content sheet (Annex 2) must be added to registration form no later than 11 of April 2022. Its not permitted to hand over the Program Content Sheets directly to the competitions Officials during the competition. Changed Program Content Sheet must be turned in upon registration.

Music:
Music can be uploaded together with registration form. Music (equipped with the full name of the competitor, club and category) on CD-R or MP3 USB memory ctick must be submitted to the announcer’s desk before the relevant event and picked up from the same place after the event.

Competition schedule: 
A detailed time schedule will be available 7 days before the competition at the competition website.

Draw: 
An electronical draw will take place on April 21, 2022, starting orders will be published on our website: jso.juna.ee 

Practice: 
Pre-ordered practice will take place at Škoda ice-rink. Practice fee is 15 EUR (25 min). Music can be played on CD's or MP3 USB Memory stick. Practice groups will be made by skater’s level. There is no guarantee join practice without registration.

Expenses: 
The organizer does not pay any expenses of the teams. Travel expenses, and accommodation will be covered by the participants. 
Expenses related to the competition’s technical management will be covered on account of the entry fees and sponsorship by the Organizer. 

Protocol:
Protocol shall be available at the Skating Club Juna website. The Organizers shall not provide print-outs or CD-s.

Liability:
In accordance with ISU Rule 119, the Organizer accepts no liability for injury or for property loss or damage incurred by Competitors or Officials. Each club is expected to provide its own insurance protection.
